How we set up Apple Business
We start from the devices and tools you have now, and you decide which parts we take on. Nothing in your Apple Business account changes before that.
We look at your Apple Business account, if you have one, your devices and who has admin access.
We set up work Apple Accounts and, where Apple supports it, connect them to your Microsoft or Google sign-in.
We connect Apple Business to your MDM, so devices enrol there and apps are assigned through it.
Before your team gets new devices, we check on devices we pick with you that people can sign in, the device enrols and the apps arrive.
We show your admins how new purchases get into Apple Business, how to add and remove accounts, and what needs doing day to day.
New iPhones and Macs get set up one at a time, often with the employee's private Apple Account. Apps are bought on whichever account happens to be signed in. After a while, it's hard to say which Apple Account is on which device, or who in the company is the admin.
Once it's set up, you order devices from Apple or a participating reseller as usual, quoting your Apple Business details. Each one then shows up in your Apple Business account, registered to the company. Staff sign in with work Apple Accounts that your admins can reset or close. App licences belong to the company, so when someone leaves, their apps can go to the next person. Some Apple Business features aren't offered in every country, so we check what's available to you first.
